I loved the Glitter Guide’s Spring to-do list so much that I was thrilled when they share their Summer to-do list! While I realize we are just about a month into Summer (Yikes!) I thought it was better late than never to share. This bucket list is short and sweet so there is plenty of time to check these ultra fun activities off before the autumn weather arrives! Have a ball with the Glitter Guide’s list and enjoy!
Seersucker and Southern sayings, today’s Fab Find is one for the books! Like many good Southern startup companies, I found this hidden gem through Instagram. Lauren James Co. features all of the lovely boat totes, tanks, and oversized t-shirts us Southern gals adore! Here are a few samples of my Lauren James must-haves, but be sure to take a tour to their website by browsing here.
Recently, I read the New York times feature article, The Found Art of Thank You Notes. True to it’s title, this article sheds light on the beauty, timelessness, and obvious proper manner that drive the idea of letters as an art form. I think Emily Post would agree that there is never a bad time to send someone a letter, thank you note, or card. This ideology my inspiration for today’s “Fab Find” – Rifle Paper Co. While its website is filled with everything from phone cases to prints, they offer some of the most beautiful stationary I have ever laid my eyes on! To make it even better, all of their products are printed right here in the U-S of A!
What began is a boutique stationary and gift shop in Florida for husband and wife team, Anna and Nathan Bond, quickly became a must-have for stationery lovers around the country. The majority of their products are elegant and whimsical, with a handwritten twist. I have loved everything that I’ve purchase from Rifle Paper Co. especially my “You’re the Bees Knees” card and Botanical Rose phone case! Here are a few of my favorite greeting card offerings and I hope it inspires you to join in on celebrating the art of a hand written letter!
So…you’ve said “Yes!” to your handsome man, popped the question to your best friends and now you don’t know what to do! Many brides are afraid of the wedding planning process because let’s be honest, it can be extremely stressful. A great starting point you may ask? Well, checking out the latest, greatest 2014 weddings trends of course!
Just like fashion trends, it’s inevitable that wedding trends will change every year. What has brides swooning this year? The “naked” cake, jumpsuits (not dresses!), hashtags, unplugged weddings, garland centerpieces, chair swag, full bloom bouquets and ribbon are just a few!
While I have given you a few of my absolute favorite 2014 wedding trends, there is always one important detail of every wedding. Remember that your wedding is just that…it’s your own! If whatever is trending in the wedding industry doesn’t suit your color scheme or personality, skip it! Your wedding is one of the biggest days of your life, so enjoy every moment 🙂
Congratulations to all of you lucky ladies saying “I do” this year! I hope today’s post gives you some inspiration for planning your big day!
The South and college football go together like peas and carrots, like pearls and monograms, like Mint Juleps and the Kentucky Derby…but the NFL? Well, that’s where I draw the line. I will certainly cheer on the Dallas Cowboys whenever they are conveniently on, but I would never say that I am a true fan of any NFL team. It has always been my opinion that there is more heart and passion in college football. That’s why on any given Saturday, during football season, you’ll catching me cheering on the Tide with a Yellow Hammer in tow. With that being said, I will never turn down an opportunity to host a Superbowl party or attend one. What better excuse to drink on Sunday, sneak in a few bites of Buffalo Chicken Dip and invite a bunch of your friends over (who probably don’t even know who is playing)??
In all honestly, I am an absolute sucker for Superbowl commercials. It amazes me all of the work that goes into creating one 30 second ad for a whopping $4 million. Whether is comical hysteria or a true tear-jerker I haven’t met a Superbowl commercial I haven’t liked. I truly try not to look at the commercial spoilers, but when I heard about Budweiser’s “Puppy Love” commercials I went to YouTube immediately! Don’t worry, it is posted below 🙂
Whatever you’re reason may be for watching Superbowl 2014, I hope you enjoy it!
If only I was a Photoshop pro or could master the art of calligraphy, because then I would I be making a pretty penny in the print shop business! Who knew creating a print with a catchy quote, stunning font and the perfect color palette would be so popular?! I for one absolutely love everything about this trend and plan to fully partake by purchasing a few myself!
Below are a few of my favorite prints that I’ve discovered so far! Love them too? Don’t worry, I’ve listed the site name along with the link after these pretty sweet pictures! Enjoy!
Other than Pinterest and J. Crew there truly isn’t a website that I regularly visit, until now! I have recently discovered The Glitter Guide and I couldn’t be more in love, which is exactly why it is a fab find!
Their Mission: “The Glitter Guide promises to provide you with glitz and glamour. Our newsletter offers fun, chic, and colorful lifestyle tidbits from fashion to fitness; each injected with a healthy dose of glitter.”

Trust me, whether your a Southern Belle or Northern Beauty you will find The Glitter Guide as amazing as a I do!
This is a beautiful mini-documentary featuring a few members of the Duck Dynasty clan. They give offer their testimony of how their struggles brought them closer to God to make them the faithful family they are today. I ask you to take 30 minutes out of your day to watch this powerful video!
You will not regret it!
I will be the first to admit that I not or ever have been a runner. While I accept this fact, I enjoy a good run in the morning or anytime to relieve stress! So when my sister asked me to run in the CarMax Tacky Light Run in Richmond I couldn’t resist! What could be more perfect than a night run with Christmas lights as your guide?!
As a 6k course, this run is guarneteed to be a spectacular of lights and a sight of your traditional tacky Christmas sweaters! Yes, thats right…tacky outfits are highly encourage! I am so excited to run this race tonight with my sister! Wish us luck!!
Everyone is well aware that wedding season begins in May and lasts throughout the summer, but did you know that the holidays kick off engagement season?! With this in mind I had to share The Knot’s video on what NOT to say to a newly engaged friend. While t is a hysterical video, it’s sadly in the comments we sometimes make when we find out our friend is engaged! Enjoy!
